The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT), MSRUAS, formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inventree Hotels on 21st February 2025. The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in training, internships, research, and placements, enriching students’ practical learning and career prospects. This partnership marks a step forward in bridging academic knowledge with industry practice.
Industry Collaboration and Recruitment Initiative: Hospitality Exploration at BLR Airport:
On February 10th, 2025, Dr. Ankita Sharma and Mr. Raghavendra were invited by Ms. Aarti Naik, Manager, Learning and Development, to Bangalore International Airport (BLR) to explore the hospitality services at T2 lounges. The visit provided insights into the diverse lounge offerings for domestic and international travelers. Additionally, discussions on potential collaboration took place, and BIAL HR Head, Mr. Joseph, was invited to visit the campus for recruitment on March 4th, 2025.
Industry Connect – Leela Palace Hotel Bengaluru
On February 26th, 2024, The Leela Palace Hotel invited senior academicians and student representatives to discuss industry trends and reintroduce the Leela Leadership Development Program. Mr. Sreerag, Area Director – HR, interacted with faculty and students, providing valuable insights. The session concluded with a networking dinner, strengthening industry-academia collaboration.
Industry Connect- World Day of Social Justice
On February 23rd, 2023, FHMCT, in collaboration with the Taj Group of Hotels, celebrated World Day of Social Justice. 42 staff members from the Taj Group engaged with students in discussions on gender equality, equal pay, and workplace safety. Students expressed their understanding of social justice through creative posters and slogans, emphasizing its role in fostering inclusivity, reducing inequalities, and achieving sustainable development goals.
