Field Visit: Four Seasons Hotel, Bengaluru
On April 2nd, 2025, IV Semester BHM (Batch 2023-27) students visited Four Seasons Hotel, Bengaluru, for an industry exposure trip led by the Laundry Manager. The visit provided hands-on insights into commercial laundry operations, technological advancements, fabric care, dry cleaning, and valet services in luxury hospitality.
Housekeeping Department: Industry Expert Talk
On March 27th, 2025, the Housekeeping Department at FHMCT, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, organized a guest lecture on “Service Standards in Hotel Accommodations” for IV Semester students. Ms. Pamini Hemaprabha, Head of Operations at Emaar Malls, shared insights on guest experience, housekeeping best practices, and service excellence, fostering an interactive learning experience.
Food & Beverage Production: Students Seminar & Workshop
A student seminar and workshop on Indian Sweets was conducted for II Semester students as part of the Food and Beverage Production I course during practical sessions. The resource persons for the session were VIII Semester students, Gokaraju Mohana Murali K and Suhan Arvind, who provided hands-on training and insights into traditional Indian sweet preparations
Management Studies Department: Industry Expert Talk
On March 18th, 2025, the Department of Management Studies at FHMCT, M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, organized a Guest Lecture on Hospitality Distribution Channels for VIII Semester students. The session provided insights into various distribution platforms, their significance in enhancing visibility, and strategies for maximizing bookings in the hospitality industry.
Front Office Department:Students Seminar
A student seminar was conducted for IV semester students- Batch 2023 on 6th March 2025 from 9:50- 10:40 am in the Seminar Hall. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Soumalya Barua- VIII sem student, Batch 2021. The topic of the session was- ‘Hotels of Tomorrow- The Smart Innovations Reshaping Hospitality.’
Field Visit: Grand Mercure Hotel at Gopalan Mall, Bangalore
On February 6th and 7th, 2025, II Semester students had the enriching opportunity to visit the Grand Mercure Hotel at Gopalan Mall, Bangalore, as part of a field visit designed to give them hands-on experience in understanding Front Office Room Types and Other Products.

On February 19th, 2025, IV Semester BHM (Batch 2023-27) students visited Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa, Bangalore, for an industry exposure trip led by Mr. Bramraj R, Head HR. The students explored the hotel’s diverse room categories, dining outlets, banquet facilities, and VIP-exclusive amenities, gaining insights into luxury hospitality operations.

On February 7th, 2025, the Housekeeping Department organized a field visit and guest lecture for II Semester students at Grand Mercure, Gopalan Mall. Executive Housekeeper Ms. Babita provided in-depth insights into the department’s layout, functions, and responsibilities in hotel operations.
