“Polio Drive – Rotary Club”

FHMCT has taken the opportunity to work with Rotary Club in coordination with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to participate in the Polio Eradication Program on the 19th January 2020. As a prelude to this the first year students and three Faculty form FHMCT, Ms Pratisha, Ms Sandhya and Mr Srivaths attended the training program conducted by the Rotary Club at St Francis College , Koramangala on the 17th January. The team demonstrated all about how the polio vaccine must be delivered to kids below the age of five in the designated areas of Bangalore.

‘Cooking Demonstration – Bellary’

A cooking demonstration for Good Living was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Raichur on 11th and at Bellary on 12th December 2019. Faculty member Ms. Nagarekha Palli and B Voc Advanced Diploma  I semester student Manasi demonstrated various foods like Tikki, Culets, Pasta Spinach, Mushroom Pasta and Chocolate Laddu.

‘Cooking Demonstration – Hassan’

A cooking demonstration for Good Living was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Hassan on 30th November 2019 and the article on the same was published in the newspaper on 1st December 2019. B Voc Advanced Diploma 1 semester students Manasi and Sushmitha demonstrated innovative dishes

‘Cooking Demonstration – Bengaluru’

A cooking demonstration for Good Living was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Bengaluru on 30th November 2019.  The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Sridhar Krishnan along with B Voc student Abhishek and BHM 7th semester student Vamshadeep demonstrated various dishes like Corn Fritters, Burrito, Mexican Salad and Ragi Phirni.

‘Cooking Demonstration – Hubli’

A cooking demonstration was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Hubli on 18th October 2019. The B Voc students Sushmitha and Manasi demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Nachos, Pan pizza and Crepe.

‘Cooking Demonstration – Belgaum’

A cooking demonstration was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Belgaum on 17th October 2019. The B Voc students Sushmitha and Manasi demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Pasta tikki, Quesadilla and Malpua.

1st Sem Students’ Field Visit to Home of Hope

As part of the curriculum of Basic Communication Skills – I, a field visit was organized for the 1st year students to New Ark Mission of India – Home of Hope on 24th, 25th and 26th September 2019. This mission was founded by T. Raja, aka Auto Raja, a name more familiar to the public, the reason being his profession was driving auto. He also served as a bodyguard to the auto driver’s union leader

The students of 1st Year put up a lively cultural program for the members of the home which was cherished by the destitute sheltered there and volunteers as well. The students also donated sacks of rice, wheat powder, and lentils to the home. Washed and ironed clothes and old but clean shoes were also donated by the students.

The field visit was aimed at the following:

  1. Inter-personnel communication by way of practicing for the cultural program
  2. Communication with the members of the home prompting compassion towards the destitute
  3. Developing a sense of philanthropy towards the needy

A cooking demonstration was organised by Vijay Karnataka at Udupi and Mysore on 19th and 20th September 2019. The faculty members of FHMCT Mr. Shyam Prasad, Manish K and Shashi Sharma along with B Voc students Sushmitha and Harshitha demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Peri peri Paneer, Spinach Pasta and Millet kheer at Udupi. Dishes prepared at Mysore were Potato herb croquettes, Spaghetti and Dates pan cake

A cooking demonstration was organised at Sahakar Nagar, Bengaluru on 29th August 2019 to promote healthy living. The participants were made aware about the importance of retaining nutrition while cooking. Healthy cooking techniques and use of local ingredients in cooking was demonstrated. The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Shyam Prasad along with BHM student Kiran demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Millet Tikki, Spinach Penne Pasta and Sugar Free Modak.

A cooking demonstration was organised by Vijay Karnataka sponsored by Freedom Oil at Thumakuru on 24th July 2019. The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Shyam Prasad along with BHM student Kiran demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Noodle Cutlet, Palak Pasta and Kajur Puran Poli.

Association with International Skill Development Corporation

International Skill Development Corporation has set the platform to share the responsibility of developing the future skills with the services globally. It is well positioned to meet the increasing demand for skill development and professional education across the globe. They solicit like minded edupreneurs to join hands with them in fulfilling the nations’ responsibility to the young generation.
The Front Office team of FHMCT has taken a lead in disseminating training modules on Hospitality and Tourism.

The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Sridhar Krishnan along with BHM students Kaushik and Harshith demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Beetroot Cutlet, Palak Kofta, Brown Rice Jeera Pulao and Mango Phirni.

by Freedom Oil at Uttarahalli Main road Bangalore on 26th April 2019. The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Sridhar Krishnan, along with BHM students Kiran and Harshit, demonstrated various healthy preparations such as Sweet potato tikki, Pinwheel Samosa, Potato Cheese Burst and Mango Rasmalai.


Visit to the orphanage Sadhana Educational and Charitable Trust, Mathikere, Bangalore

As part of the activity undertaken towards giving back to the society, the students and staff of FHMCT distributed school stationery that was contributed by them to the students of the orphanage Sadhana Educational and Charitable Trust in Mathikere, Bangalore on 13th April 2019.

A cooking demonstration for Good Living was organised by Vijay Karnataka and sponsored by Freedom Oil, as part of an outreach program to promote the use of millets, at Tumkur on 24th September 2018. The faculty member of FHMCT Ms. Nagarekha along with B Voc students Mr. Sandeep, Mr. Dheeraj and Mr. Vaibhav demonstrated various foods like Multi Millet Roti, Little Millet Poha, Red Pumpkin Salad and Pearl Millet Halwa.

Cooking demonstration for Good Living by Vijay Karnataka

An outreach program on health foods was organised for at Kurubarahalli Bangalore on 28th December 2018. The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Sridhar Krishnan along with BHM student Sandeep R K demonstrated various healthy cooking styles by preparing Beetroot cutlet, sprouted stuffed parathas, chocolate fudge and Kalkals.

The program covered basics of novel/ modern cuisine. This  was organised at Dharwad on 31st March 2019. The faculty member of FHMCT Mr. Shyam Prasad along with the BHM Semester student Kiran, demonstrated the preparation of various dishes such as Shakarkand Tikki, Kashmiri Pulao,  Raita and Rajbhog using innovative cooking techniques involving fusion of western cooking practices in Indian cuisine
